Aggression in healthcare

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem agresivity ve zdravotnictví ze strany pacientů a rodinných příslušníků vůči zdravotnickým pracovníkům. Cílem této práce je získat přehled a informace o výskytu agresivity ve zdravotnictví. Teoretická část práce pojednává o pojmech agrese a agresivita. Popisuje, správnou komunikaci s agresivní osobou, jak zvládat samotný konflikt a jak se mu dá případně předcházet. Cílem praktické části bakalářské práce je zmapovat metodou kvantitativního šetření, pomocí anonymního dotazníku, jak často a s jakými formami agrese se při výkonu svého povolání setkává všeobecná sestra v nemocnici Jeseník a.s. Výzkumný vzorek byl následně rozšířen také o praktické sestry, z důvodu dostatečné výpovědní hodnoty průzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of aggression in healthcare by patients or family members towards healthcare workers. The aim of this work is to obtain an overview and information about the occurrence of aggression in the healthcare sector. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the concepts of aggression and aggressiveness and the behaviour associated with them. It describes how to effectively communicate with an aggressive person, how to manage the conflict itself and how to possibly prevent it. The aim of the practical part of the bachelor's thesis is to map, using the method of quantitative research, using an anonymous questionnaire, how often and with what forms of aggression a general nurse at the Jeseník a. s. hospital encounters during the performance of her profession. The research sample was subsequently expanded to include practical nurses, due to the sufficient statement of the value of the exploratory investigation.
