Abstract:

Ve své práci se zabývám analýzou současného postavení fintech společností, které působí na globálním trhu správy aktiv a také, jakým způsobem ovlivňují byznys tradičních správců aktiv a bank. Nejprve jsem rozebral základní pojmy fintechu a wealthtechu, jaké jsou trendy v oblasti správy aktiv a jaké technologie jsou využívány v praxi: zprocesování velkých dat, umělá inteligence, strojové učení, hluboké učení a blockchain. Provedená analýza potvrdila, že nově vzniklé start-upy jsou schopné úspěšně konkurovat tradičním hráčům a zasahovat do jejich hodnotového řetězce, a proto jsou fintech a wealthtech vnímány jako jeden z disruptivních faktorů. Nicméně tento faktor správci aktiv nepovažují za nejvíce ohrožující, jelikož s danými společnostmi jednak aktivně spolupracují a jednak také začaly investovat do moderních technologií a měnit své byznys procesy pro zlepšení zákaznické zkušenosti, aby mohly vyhovovat současným požadavkům klientů a jejich preferencím. Analýza také ukázala, že kooperace nejde plynule a jsou tam problémy, které plynou z obou stran a které překáží v efektivní kooperaci a dosažení synergetických efektů.

Abstract:

In my thesis I analyse the current position of fintech companies operating in the global asset management market and how they affect the business of traditional asset managers and banks. First, I analysed the basic concepts of fintech and wealthtech, what are the trends in asset management and what technologies are used in practice: big data processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and blockchain. The analysis confirmed that the newly created start-ups are able to successfully compete with traditional incumbents and interfere with their value chain, and therefore asset managers and banks perceive fintech and wealthtech as one of the disruptive factors, however they do not consider this factor the most threatening, as on the one hand, they also began to actively invest in modern technologies and change their business processes to improve the customer experience so that they could meet the current requirements of clients and their preferences. The analysis also showed that cooperation does not go smoothly and there are problems on both sides that hinder effective cooperation and synergetic effects.
