The Film as a Means of Empowerment the Integration of Immigrants

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi využití filmu při práci na posílení v integraci u cílové skupiny imigrantů usazujících se na území České republiky. V teoretické části jsou nejprve vymezeny pojmy jako imigrant, integrace a posílení. Pojmy imigrant a integrace jsou definovány s ohledem na specifika užití v České republice; na totéž prostředí je orientována i charakteristika současných integračních služeb poskytovaných imigrantům. Následně je krátce představen program, který byl na principech posílení realizován se skupinou utečeneckých žen v Nizozemí. Na závěr jsou nastíněny základní myšlenky potenciálu filmu v otázkách psychologického či sociálního působení na recipienty. Cílem aplikační části je navrhnout projekt, který by obě oblasti - tedy oblast sociální práce v konceptu posílení a oblast působení filmu - propojil za účelem optimalizace či alespoň facilitace integrace imigrantů. Po té, co je jako problém stanoven "začarovaný kruh" předsudků, demotivace a neuspokojivé ekonomické soběstačnosti imigrantů, jsou popsány charakteristiky aktérů podílejících se na projektu. Následně jsou určeny tři kategorie filmů, pomocí nichž je možné v chronologickém sledu s klienty projektu pracovat. Samotný projekt je navržen jak po stránce materiálního zabezpečení, tak po stránce obsahové. Dovršením práce je stručné pojednání o evaluaci naplnění cílů projektu.

Abstract:

The present thesis deals with the possibilities of using film to work on empowerment the integration of the target group of immigrants settling in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part are first defined terms such as immigrant, integration and empowerment.Terms "immigrant" and "integration" are defined with respect to specific use in the Czech Republic, on the same territorial platform are presented also a recent integration services to immigrants. Subsequently, is briefly introduced a program that was implemented on the principles of empowerment for the group refugee women in the Netherlands. At the conclusion are outlined the basic ideas of the film in the potential issues of psychological or social effects to recipients. The aim of the application is to propose a project that would both fields - the field of social work in the concept of empowerment and field of the film - affiliated to optimize or at least facilitating the integration of immigrants. After the problem is defined as a "vicious circle" of prejudices, demotivation and poor economic self-sufficiency of immigrants, are described the characteristics of actors involved in the project. Then are determined three categories of films, by which is possible to work with the clients in chronological order. The project itself is designed in terms of both: material and terms of content. Completion of work is a brief discussion of the evaluation of the objectives of the project.
