Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na využití mateřského jazyka a překlad v kontextu výuky jazyků učitelem nerodilým mluvčím. Je rozdělen na dvě hlavní části, teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje dvě kapitoly. Každá kapitola je dále rozdělena do tří podkapitol. První kapitola vysvětluje důležitou terminologii používanou při výuce jazyků a její použití v kontextu této práce. Rovněž zkoumá oblasti výukových metod a jejich historický vývoj. Ve třetí části jsou uvedeny pozitivní a negativní aspekty jazykového transferu. Druhá kapitola mluví o oprávněném užívání mateřského jazyka. Druhá podkapitola se zaměřuje na roli překladu ve výuce cizích jazyků, mluví se zde o nebezpečích a výhodách překladu. Dále se rozepisuji o zásadách užití překladu a důvodech pro použití v jazykové výuce. Ve třetí části popisuji slovníky jako nedílnou součást jazykové výuky a uvádím možnosti efektivní práce se slovníky. V rámci praktické části byly odučeny tři různé lekce zaměřené na gramatiku, jazykové funkce a slovní zásobu, abych zjistila, jak efektivní je použití překladu v jazykové výuce.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the use of mother tongue and translation in a language teaching context by non-native speakers. The work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part incorporates two chapters. Each chapter is further separated in three subchapters. Chapter one explains some important terminology applied in language teaching and used in the context of this thesis. It also explores the areas of teaching methods and its development through history. In the third section, positive and negative aspects of language transfer are outlined. Chapter two clarifies when it is justified to use mother tongue. Second subchapter focuses on the role of translation in foreign language teaching, its negative aspects and advantages. It also discusses principles and reasons for using translation in language classrooms. In the third part, I describe dictionaries as a learning aid and explain options of using dictionaries efficiently. In the practical part, three various lessons focusing on grammar, function and vocabulary were taught to find out how efficient the use of translation in the language classroom could be.
