The relationship between the somatotype and the body surface of adolescent soccer players

Abstract:

This Diploma thesis connects elements of classical anthropometry, somatotype evaluation based on anthropometric data together with modern virtual anthropology. In the theoretical part, it writes about the issues of anthropometry and its use in practice. In the following chapters, it deals with the determining of somatotype, especially of football players. The practical section describes and statistically analyses the data of 37 players that were collected in FC Zbrojovka Brno from teams U12 and U13. These are anthropometric data from which the somatotypes of players were determined as well as their 3D whole-body scans were evaluated. While evaluating the data, we assessed the most suitable methods of data processing and analysis, which we then used in further analyses necessary for this work. In the results of the work, we observe that football players form a specific group of somatotypes. We evaluated the data based on collected anthropometry values, calculated somatotype components and 3D models. From the results we observe that there are no statistical differences between the individuals of the two teams, but we do not find them even within the groups of individual somatotypes. We observe differences within the group of ectomorphs and endomorphs. And when divided into 2 separate teams, we observe differences in the U12 team with a group of ectomorphs and mesomorphs. Graphically, the results are supported by the analysis of 3D whole-body models based on graphical outputs using the program Fidentis Analyst. In conclusion, we observe that the analysis of 3D whole-body models is a suitable addition and alternative in the evaluation of body parameters.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce propojuje prvky klasické antropometrie, hodnocení somatotypu na základě antropometrických údajů spolu s moderní virtuální antropologií. V teoretické části se práce věnuje problematice antropometrie a jejímu využití v praxi. V dalších kapitolách se zabývá hodnocením somatotypu, a to především u hráčů fotbalu. V praktické části jsou popsané a statisticky analyzované údaje 37 hráčů, které byly sesbírány v FC Zbrojovka Brno u týmů U12 a U13. Jedná se o antropometrické údaje, ze kterých byly vyhodnocené somatotypy hráčů jako aj jejich 3D celotělové skeny. Při hodnocení dat jsme posoudili nejvhodnější metody zpracování a analýzy dat, které jsme následně využili v dalších analýzách potřebných pro tuto práci. Ve výsledcích práce pozorujeme, že fotbalisté vytvářejí specifickou skupinu somatotypů. Data jsme hodnotili na základě shromážděných hodnot antropometrie, vypočtených komponent somatotypu a 3D modelů. Z výsledků pozorujeme, že mezi jedinci dvou týmů nejsou statistické rozdíly, které však nenacházíme ani v rámci skupin jednotlivých somatotypů. Pozorujeme rozdíly v rámci skupiny ektomorf a endomorf. A při rozdělení na 2 samostatné týmy u týmu U12 u skupiny ektomorf a mezomorf. Graficky jsou výsledky podpořeny analýzou 3D celotělových modelů na základě grafických výstupů pomocí programu Fidentis Analyst. V závěrech práce pozorujeme, že analýza 3D celotělových modelů je vhodným doplňkem a alternativou při hodnocení tělesných parametrů.
