Illustration for children in Czechoslovakia (1918 - 1938) by examples of Josef Lada and Josef Čapek

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je najít na základě srovnání uměleckých interpretačních přístupů východiska, která byla inspirací v ilustraci pro děti. Zabývá se otázkou fenoménu dětství, který byl jedním ze zdrojů umělecké tvorby ilustrátorů dětské knihy. Zaměřuje se zejména na období 20. a 30. let dvacátého století. Hledá důvody, které vedly ilustrátory ke snaze tvořit pomocí „dětského vidění světa.“ Práce čerpá zejména z díla Josefa Lady a Josefa Čapka. Protipóly u těchto dvou ilustrátorů jsou předmětem zkoumání z hlediska uměleckých směrů. Další perspektivu předurčuje projekt založený na hypotéze o existenci podvědomě uplatněných výtvarných směrů i u dětí. Předpokladem je hlubší psychoanalýza a dostatek experimentálních možností při výtvarných činnostech dětí.

Abstract:

My bachelor´s theses is aimed (for a consideration of artistic-interpretative attitudes) at finding bases, which were inspiration for children´s illustrations. It is concernet with a childhood phenomenon, which inspired illustrators of children‘s books. My work is focused in the twenties and thirties and try to find reasons, which made illustrators create according „children’s visual sense“. My theses draws from Josef Lada´s and Josef Čapek´s works. A theme of exploring is a artistic contrariness of these illustrators. Hypothesis of a subconscious using of art-styles (also by childrens) is the other perspective of my work. Presumption for verification of this hypothesis is a depth psychoanalysis and a sufficiency of potentials of child´s creative activities.
