SMC (Structural maintenance of chromosomes) proteinové komplexy hrají klíčovou roli v organizaci, kondenzaci a opravě chromozomů. Nalezneme je ve všech živých organizmech od bakterií po člověka. Abstract:
SMC (Structural maintenance of chromosomes) protein complexes play key roles in the organization, segregation and repair of chromosomes. They are founded in all living organisms from bacteria to human. Bacteria contain one type of homodimeric SMC complex, which is involved in maintenance of DNA during cell cycle.
