Abstract:

Tato práce se podrobně věnuje činnosti Československé sociální demokracie v městě Brně v letech 1945 – 1948. Stručně jsou tu však shrnuty dějiny této strany od jejího vzniku do roku 1945 a je tu i zmínka o politických procesech s brněnskými sociálními demokraty v roce 1955. Pozornost je kladena především na obnovení činnosti strany v Brně po 2. světové válce, volby v roce 1946, XXI. sjezd ČSSD v Brně v listopadu 1947, situaci ve straně během února 1948 a sloučení sociální demokracie s KSČ v červnu 1948.

Abstract:

This study is following in detail the activities of the Czechoslovak Social Democracy (ČSSD - Československá sociální demokracie) in Brno in the years 1945-1948. The history of this party is also shortly decribed from its beginnigs till 1945 together with a mention about the 1955 political trials against the social democrats from Brno. A strong focus is primarily put on the renewal of activites of the party in Brno after the Second World War, the elections in 1946, the XXI. Convention of ČSSD in Brno in November 1947, the state of affairs within the party during February 1948 and the merge of the Czechoslovak Social Democrats with the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ - Komunistická strana Československa) in June 1948.
