Comparison of Value Orientation of Adolescents Raised up in Family and in Children's Home

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá obdobím dospívání a s ním spojenými změnami. Zejména pak tvorbou hodnotové orientace a činiteli, kteří tuto tvorbu nejvíce ovlivňují. Stěžením bodem pro tuto práci je porovnávání hodnotové orientace u dospívajících z dětských domovů a dospívajících z rodin. A taková je i výzkumná otázka, tedy zda se liší hodnotová orientace mezi těmito skupinami, které vyrůstají každá v jiném prostředí. Výzkumný soubor je tvořen celkem 101 dospívajícími ve věku 13 až 18 let, z toho 50 respondentů tvoří děti z dětských domovů a ostatních 51 jsou děti z úplných rodin. Participantům byl zadán dotazník, který byl složen z části Rokeachova testu a ze Schwartzova dotazníku hodnotových portrétů. Data byla zpracovávána programem SPSS Statistics 25. Nejvýznamnější odlišností byla vyšší preference hodnoty pohodlného života u vzorku dospívajících v dětských domovech. Nicméně celkovou komparací výsledků mezi jednotlivými skupinami byla zjištěna, až na pár výjimek, poměrně velká homogenita. Tyto výsledky jsou podle našeho názoru způsobeny transformací klasických dětských domovů na dětské domovy rodinného typu, které podle nás dokáží lépe saturovat výchovu v rodině.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the time of adolescence and changes connected with it. Especially the creation of value orientation and aspects having the greatest impact on the process of the creation. The main aim of this work is the comparison of value orientation between adolescents from children's home and adolescents from families. Therefore, the research question is whether the value orientation differs between these groups, both growing in a dissimilar background. The research group contains 101 adolescents in the age of 13 and 18 in total, out of that 50 respondents are children from children's homes and the rest 51 are children from families. Participants were given the survey that was made from the part of the Rokeach Value Survey and from the Schwartz Value Survey. Data were processed by the program SPSS Statistics 25. The most significant distinction was a higher preference for comfort life value in the group of adolescents from children's home. Nevertheless, the overall comparison between the results of both research groups shows, with a few exceptions, relatively a huge homogeneity. According to our opinion, the results are caused by the transformation of classical children´s homes into children's homes of a family type which are more suitable for substitution of the upbringing in a family.
