Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem věkové diverzity a jejím působením na pracovní výkon. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak ovlivňuje věková diverzita pracovní výkon jednotlivých týmů. Dílčím cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jak a do jaké míry vnímají členové týmu věkovou diverzitu. Dalším dílčím cílem je zjistit, zda se členové týmu v týmu s věkovou diverzitou cítí více či méně motivovaní a na závěr, jaké jsou možné nedostatky práce v týmu s věkovou diverzitou. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická část se zabývá teoretickými poznatky z odborné literatury na téma diverzity, věkové diverzity a age management. V druhé části této diplomové práce je proveden výzkum, který proběhl formou kvantitativního výzkumu. Sběr dat probíhal na základě experimentu a následného dotazníkového šetření. Z výsledků z experimentu lze určit, jak věková diverzita ovlivňuje pracovní výkon. Pomocí následného dotazníkového šetření jsou zjištěny odpovědi na dílčí cíle. V závěru jsou shrnuty výhody a nevýhody práce v týmu s věkovou diverzitou, a navíc jsou zde navržena možná opatření na eliminaci slabých stránek. Tato práce má přínos zejména pro firmy, cílem je upozornit na důležitost věkové diverzity a na možné výhody věkové diverzity, které ovlivňují výkon pracovních týmů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of age diversity and its effect on work performance. The aim of the work is to find out how age diversity affects the work performance of individual teams. The partial goal of this diploma thesis is to find out how and to what extent team members perceive age diversity. Another partial goal is to find out whether team members in a team with age diversity feel more or less motivated and, finally, what are the possible shortcomings of working in a team with age diversity. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with theoretical knowledge from the literature on the topic of diversity, age diversity and age management. In the second part of this diploma thesis, research is conducted, which took place in the form of quantitative research. Data collection took place on the basis of an experiment and a subsequent questionnaire survey. From the results of the experiment, it is possible to determine how age diversity affects work performance. The answers to the sub-objectives are identified by means of a follow-up questionnaire survey. In the end, the advantages and disadvantages of working in a team with age diversity are summarized, and in addition, possible measures to eliminate weaknesses are proposed. This work is beneficial especially for companies, the aim is to draw attention to the importance of age diversity and the possible benefits of age diversity that affect the performance of work teams.
