Návrat některých sladkovodních druhů ryb k asexualitě může mít mnoho příčin. Následky jejich výskytu s původními sexuálními liniemi však mohou být různé. Vedle jejich vzájemné koexistence může docházet rovněž k vytlačování některé z linií, či dokonce celého rodičovského druhu. The reestablishment of asexuality in some freshwater fish species can have many causes. Impact of their presence on the sexual population can evolve in three different ways - either long-term coexistence or extinction of one of these subpopulations (sexual or asexual).
