Working with pupils' perceptual learning styles in teaching English vocabulary at primary schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou stylů učení a využitelností učebních stylů žáků dle jejich percepční preference ve výuce slovní zásoby anglického jazyka na 1. stupni ZŠ. V teoretické části práce shrnuje základní poznatky o učebních stylech žáků, dále se pak teoretická část zabývá možností zohlednění učebních stylů žáků dle percepční preference ve výuce slovní zásoby anglického jazyka na 1. stupni ZŠ. V praktické části práce navazuje na část teoretickou a pomocí dotazníku zkoumá, jaké mají učitelé anglického jazyka na 1. stupni ZŠ na Blanensku pojetí učebních stylů a učebních stylů dle percepční preference, dále se praktická část zaměřuje na učební styly dle percepční preference a zkoumá, jak s těmito styly tito učitelé pracují ve výuce slovní zásoby anglického jazyka. Součástí diplomové práce je příloha, která obsahuje sborník aktivit pro výuku slovní zásoby anglického jazyka na 1. stupni ZŠ zohledňující učební styly žáků dle jejich percepční preference.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of learning styles and the usefulness of pupil’s perceptual learning styles in teaching English vocabulary at primary schools. The theoretical part summarizes basic knowledge about pupil’s learning styles then further theoretical part deals with the possibility of taking into account the perceptual learning styles of pupils in teaching English vocabulary at primary schools. The practical part follows the theoretical part and using the questionnaire examines the beliefs of primary teachers from Blansko and surroundings about learning styles and the perceptual learning styles, further, the practical part deals with perceptual learning styles and their work with them in the teaching English vocabulary. The last part of the thesis is an appendix that contains a collection of activities for teaching English vocabulary reflecting the perceptual learning styles.
