Tato bakalářská diplomová práce zkoumá za pomoci teorie ekokritiky témata týkající se životního prostředí v Pánovi prstenů a porovnává rozdíly v jejich zobrazení v knihách J. R. R. Tolkiena a filmech Peter Jacksona. Práce srovnává postoj obou autorů k udržitelnosti životního prostředí a environmentální destrukci, rovněž zkoumá rozdíly v těchto postojích v kontextu příběhu. Employing ecocritical theory, this thesis explores environmental themes in The Lord of the Rings and compares the ways in which they are depicted in J. R. R. Tolkien’s books and Peter Jackson’s movies.
