Literary festival The Month of Authors’ Reading

Abstract:

Předmětem magisterské diplomové práce „Literární festival Měsíc autorského čtení“ je představit tento festival v co nejucelenější podobě. V první kapitole se popisuje jeho vznik, vývoj a současná forma. Dále se práce zabývá autorským čtení jako takovým, autorka si klade otázku, jak jej definovat, jaké jsou typické rysy autorského čtení a jaká je jeho historie. Třetí kapitola se věnuje konkurenčnímu prostředí Měsíce autorského čtení. Poslední dvě kapitoly se zaměřují na organizační stránku přípravy festivalu z hlediska personálního, programového, technického, právního, propagačního a mediálního a uvádí koncepci marketingového plánu s popisem současného stavu i návrhy na případné změny.

Abstract:

The object of the graduation theses „Literary Festival The Month of Authors’ Reading“is to present this festival in the most comprehensive way. The first chapter describes its beginning and recent history as well as its present form. The thesis then elaborates the concept of authors’ reading in general. The author deals with its history, typical features and general characteristics. The third chapter is devoted to the competitive environment of The Month of Authors’ Reading. The last two chapters are focused on matters concerning festival planning and organization – staffing, program planning, technical, legal, and promotional and PR issues etc. – and introduce the idea of a marketing plan with a description of the current state of affairs and possible changes to these.
