Financial analysis of selected company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o komplexní finanční analýze podniku Phillip Morris ČR a. s. a následném rozboru zjištěných výsledků. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, a to na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části je aplikována horizontální a vertikální analýza, analýza poměrových ukazatelů, pracovního kapitálu, bonitních a bankrotních modelů a profil dané společnosti. V praktické části jsou aplikovány modely z teoretické části na konkrétních údajích z rozvahy, výkazu zisku a ztráty a z cashflow, které jsou čerpány primárně z výročních zpráv společnosti. Závěr práce obsahuje odpověď na klíčovou otázku této práce, zdali je podnik finančně zdravý.

Abstract:

This Bachelor's thesis addresses a comprehensive financial analysis of the company Phillip Morris ČR a.s. and the subsequent analysis of the results. The thesis is divided into two parts, that is practical and theoretical. Horizontal and vertical analysis, analysis of ratios, working capital, creditworthiness and bankruptcy models and the profile of the company are contained in the theoretical part. In the practical part, models from the theoretical part are applied to specific data from the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cashflow, which are taken primarily from the company's annual reports. The conclusion of the thesis contains an answer to the key question of this paper, i.e. whether the company is financially sound.
