The effect of aspiration therapy on changes in selected hormones in extremely obese adolescents

Abstract:

Obezita je globálním onemocněním, které se v dnešní době řadí mezi nejčastější příčiny úmrtí. Četnost lidí trpících obezitou se neustále zvyšuje a obezitu lze tak považovat jako globální pandemii lidstva. Dle odborných světových odhadů žije na naší planetě 1,7 miliardy lidí s nadváhou, a z toho cca 600 milionů lze považovat za obézní. V průmyslově vyspělých zemích téměř 50 % populace trpí obezitou. Obezita se od roku 1980 více než dvojnásobila. Toto onemocnění bývá často považováno pouze jako kosmetický problém, ale na obezitu je potřeba pohlížet jako na chorobu ohrožující globální blahobyt. Obezita je spjata s výskytem s mnoha dalšími závažnými onemocněními. Tato onemocnění bývají často chronická. Jedním z nejčastěji vyskytovaných je cukrovka (diabetus 2. typu), hypertenze, kardiovaskulární onemocnění, infarkt myokardu, artróza a další.

Abstract:

Obesity is a global disease that is currently among other causes of death. The frequency of people suffering from obesity is constantly increasing and obesity can thus be considered as a global pandemic of humanity. According to expert world estimates, 1.7 billion overweight people live on our planet, of which about 600 million can be considered obese. In industrialized countries, almost 50% of the population is obese. Obesity has more than doubled since 1980. This disease is often considered only as a cosmetic problem but obesity needs to be seen as a disease threatening global well-being. Obesity is associated with the occurrence of many other serious diseases. These diseases are often chronic. One of the most common is diabetes (type 2 diabetes), hypertension, cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction, osteoarthritis and others.
