Prague's coffee culture as a part of tourism in Prague

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení současné kávárenské kultury na území hlavního města Prahy. Popisuje historii evropského a pražského kavárenství, proces cesty kávového zrna z plantáže do šálku a informuje o charakteristikách kávové kultury. Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení současného stavu vybraných pražských kaváren dle stanovených kritérií se zaměřením na nabídku filtrované kávy. K získání výsledného zhodnocení byla využita kombinace vybraných vědeckých metod v rámci kvalitativního a kvantitativního výzkumu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the current coffee culture in the capital city of Prague. It describes the history of the European and Prague's cafes, the process of coffee bean's journey from the plantation to the cup and informs about the characteristics of the coffee culture. The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the current state of selected coffee shops according to established criteria focusing on the offer of filtered coffee. The combination of selected scientific methods within qualitative and quantitative research was used to obtain the final evaluation.
