Continuous monitoring of cryptographic libraries using biased RSA keys

Abstract:

Magisterská práca nadväzuje na výskum v oblasti určovania zdroja RSA kľúčov. Pojednáva o predchádzajúcich zistených rozdieloch medzi jednotlivými zdrojmi, metódach používaných na odhad pôvodu kľúča a nástrojoch, ktoré ich implementujú. Nástroje predstavené v prechádzajúcich prácach sú zdokonalené a integrované do dvoch docker obrazov. Prvý obraz obsahuje automatizovaný nástroj na kontinuálne sledovanie popularity kryptografických knižníc vo veľkých prehľadoch TLS certifikátov používaných v rámci HTTPS komunikácií. Druhý obraz poskytuje webovú službu s prehľadom rozdieľov jednotlivých zdrojov, online klasifikačný nástroj a prezentáciu výsledkov získavaných kontinuálnym sledovaním automatizovaného nástroja.

Abstract:

The master thesis follows on the research in the field of RSA keys origin classification. It discusses the previously observed differences between distinct origins, the methods used for keys origin estimation and the tools, that implement the techniques. The tools presented in previous works are improved and integrated into two docker images. The first image contains an automated tool for continuous monitoring of cryptographic libraries popularity in large scans of TLS certificates used in HTTPS communication. The second image provides a web service with a summary of differences between distinct origins, an online classification tool, and presentation of results obtained from continuous monitoring of the automated tool.
