Teaching Prosody to Adult Learners of English
Abstract:
The purpose of the diploma thesis is to theoretically and practically penetrate into the relationship between listening comprehension skills and pronunciation. In the research conducted among adult learners of English three research methods are used to give an answer to the question whether it is possible to improve listening skills on the basis of working on prosodic features of English.
Abstract:
Diplomová práce si klade za cíl teoreticky i prakticky prozkoumat vztah mezi výslovnostními a poslechovými schopnosti dospělých studentů angličtiny. Ve výzkumné části jsou použity tři výzkumné metody, jejichž cílem je odpovědět na otázku, jeli možné zlepšit poslechové porozumění na základě procvičování prosodických prvků.
