Mapping and analysis of selected invasive plants species in surroundings of the Zlín city.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá v současné době hodně diskutovanou problematikou rostlinných invazí, konkrétně jedněmi z nejagresivnějších neofytů – křídlatkou japonskou, křídlatkou sachalinskou a jejich křížencem křídlatkou českou – v člověkem výrazně ovlivňované krajině nedaleko Zlína. V tomto území, jehož fyzickogeografická charakteristika je rovněž součástí práce, byly zmíněné druhy celoplošně zmapovány a na základě získaných údajů byl analyzován jejich výskyt. Důraz byl kladen na zjištění příčin a historie rozšíření a zhodnocení vlivu člověka jako hlavního ekologického faktoru. Dále byly zkoumány stanovištní preference rostliny a vazby na vybrané abiotické faktory prostředí, vliv rostlin na okolní biodiverzitu a na závěr byla rovněž navržena opatření vedoucí k omezení dalšího šíření.V zájmovém území bylo při mapování nalezeno 57 lokalit, přičemž výrazně převažoval výskyt křídlatky japonské. Naopak křídlatka česká zaznamenána nebyla. Nalezení jedinci rostly většinou v doprovodu s ostatními ruderálními druhy na rumištích, zbořeništích a jinak narušených plochách. Překvapivě málo se v procesu šíření rostlin uplatňoval přenos rostlinných úlomků vodou, což má za následek poměrně nízké zastoupení křídlatek rostoucích podél vodních toků. Naopak nejvíce se rostliny rozšířily přímým antropogenním působením, jako přímou výsadbou, stavební činností, dopravou či hromaděním odpadu. Z toho důvodu je předpokládáno, že abiotické faktory působí na šíření rostlin až druhotně. Jelikož rozloha invadovaných ploch v zájmovém území je minimální, má křídlatka prozatím nepatrný vliv na okolí.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the currently highly discussed problems of plant invasions, namely some of the most aggressive neophytes – Japanese knotweed, Giant knotweed and their hybrid Bohemian knotweed – in a noticeably man-influenced landscape nearby the Zlin city. In this area, whose physical geographic characteristics are also a part of the thesis, the mentioned species were mapped and on the basis of the gained information their occurrence was analysed. Detection of reasons and history of the spread was emphasized and the effect of the man as the major ecological factor was evaluated. Next, habitat preferences of the plant and linkage to selected abiotic factors as well as the effect of the plant to local biodiversity were investigated. In conclusion some precautions leading to the further spreading restriction were suggested.There were found 57 localities in the special-interest area during the mapping, whereas occurrence of Japanese knotweed considerably predominated. Conversely, Bohemian knotweed was not observed. The discovered individuals grew mostly accompanied by other ruderal species at dumps, sites of a ruin and otherwise disturbed sites. Surprisingly, transport of plants' fragments through water has been applied a little in the spreading process, which resulted in a relatively low proportion of knotweed growing along the watercourses. On the contrary, the plants has spread mostly via direct anthropogenic effect, such as planting, building activities, transport or waste accumulation. Therefore it is supposed that abiotic factors has affected the spread of the plants only secondarily. Because the extent of invaded sites in the special-interest area is minimal, knotweed has just a slight influence to the surroundings for the time being.
