e-Governance as a tool for the reduction of corruption

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na zkoumání vlivu elektronizace veřejné správy na omezování korupce. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení základních pojmů z oblasti korupce a zhodnocení situace v České republice. Dále se práce věnuje definování pojmů týkajících se elektronizace. Teoretické vymezení také obsahuje rešerši odborných studií zabývajících se vlivem elektronizace na míru korupce v zemi. V empirické části je analyzován vliv elektronizace a dalších faktorů na míru korupce na vybraném vzorku zemí v letech 2003 až 2017 s využitím především lineární regresní analýzy. V závěru práce je shrnutí provedených analýz a vyhodnocení získaných poznatků.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the researching of the impact of electronization of public administration on the reduction of corruption. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of basic terms of corruption and on the summary of the situation in the Czech Republic. Further, the thesis includes with the definition of the terms regarding electronization. Conclusion of the theoretical part includes researches of expert studies dealing with the influence of electronization on the level of corruption in the country. The empirical part analyzes the intfulence of electronization and other factors to corruption rates on a selected sample of countries between 2003 and 2017, mainly using linear regression analysis. At the end of the thesis is a summary of performed analysis and evaluation of the acquired knowledge.
