Communication Skills of Employees in the Tourism Sector with the Focus on Accommodation Services

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá komunikačními dovednostmi zaměstnanců na úseku ubytovacích služeb v rámci oboru hotelnictví. Cílem práce je komparace požadavků zaměstnavatelů na komunikační dovednosti svých zaměstnanců na pozici recepční v hotelích v rámci řetězce a v nezávislých hotelích. Mezi hlavní metody použité v práci patří: literární rešerše a provedení kvantitativního výzkumu. Hlavním přínosem a výsledkem práce je vymezení rozdílů požadavků manažerů na komunikační dovednosti zaměstnanců na úseku front office - recepce mezi nezávislými hotely a hotely v rámci řetězce.

Abstract:

Bachelor dissertation focuses on the soft communication skills of the employees in the hotel industry. The main focus is on the hotel department: front office - reception. The main aim of the work is to compare requirements of the employers for communication skills of the employees for the position - front office receptionist in the hotel within chain and independent hotel. The methods used are: literary research and quantitative research. The main benefit is to declare the discrepancies between employer´s requirement of communication skills for their employees at reception in accordance with the type of the hotel.
