Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou reprezentace sexuality na internetové stránce www.suicidegirls.com, která bývá řazena mezi tak zvanou alternativní pornografii a v tomto druhu pornografie patří mezi jednu z nejpopulárnějších a nejnavštěvovanějších webových stránek. Sucide girls byly založeny za účelem vytvářet takovou pornografii, která se bude lišit od většinové produkce. Tato stránka si klade mimo jiné za cíl prezentovat krásné „reálné“ ženy s nekonformními ideály o sexualitě. Práce se nejdříve zabývá problematikou definování pornografie, dále různými pohledy a přístupy k této otázce, všímá si především postojů křesťanských církví, které pornografii striktně odmítají jako morálně závadnou, a feministického hnutí, které se k této problematice staví nejednotně. Sexualita je úzce spojena s tělem, pozornost při analýze stránky www.suicidegirls.com je proto věnována nejen tomu, jak tato stránka zobrazuje ženskou sexualitu, ale i jakým způsobem prezentuje ženské tělo. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda stránka, která chce být jiná něž mainstreamová pornografie, se snaží genderové stereotypy panující v této oblasti spíše kopírovat nebo překonávat a měnit, což v důsledku znamená měnit genderový řád společnosti.

Abstract:

This work is concerned with the analysis of sexuality as represented on the www.suicidegirls.com web page, which is being regarded as the so called alternative pornography. It is one of the most popular and most frequently visited web pages of this kind. The Suicide Girls was established in order to create such pornography that would be distinguishable from the mainstream production. This web page intends to present, among others, beautiful “real” women having nonconforming ideals as concerns sexuality. First, the work deals with problems of defining pornography. Further, it is concerned with various views and attitudes towards this question. It concentrates mainly on the attitudes of Christian churches, which strictly reject the pornography as morally unhealthy, and of the feminist movement, which does not have a unified stance as far as this problem is concerned. Since sexuality is closely connected with the body, the analysis of the www.suicidegirls.com web page pays attention to both representation of female sexuality, and presentation of female body. The work aims at discovering whether the page, which attempts to be different from the mainstream pornography, is rather reproducing the gender stereotypes existing in this field, or whether it is overcoming and changing them, which would result in changes of the gender system of the society.
