Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám tématem mytologie, mýtů a symbolů ve výtvarné tvorbě. V teoretické části vysvětluji základní pojmy z mytologie, součástí je i krátký přehled vybraných mytologií tří kultur, které výtvané umění ovlivnily. Teoretickou část uzavírám představením části českých výtvarníků ze skupiny Tvrdohlaví, v jejichž dílech je patrná inspirace dávnými mýty. Praktickou část tvoří mé malby, které jsou inspirovány antickými mýty. První série větších pláten zobrazuje antické hrdiny, jejichž odkaz je i v dnešní době aktuální. Malby představují mé vnímání tohoto odkazu. Druhá série menších pláten zachycuje hrdiny, nebo události, které jsou součástí většího příběhu.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the theme of mythology, myths, archetypes and symbols in art. The theoretical part explains basic terms of mythology and includes a short summary of mythologies in three cultures which influenced art. The theoretical part concluded by introducing some Czech artists from the group Tvrdohlaví in whose work the inspiration of ancient myths is apparent. The practical part consists of my paintings insired by ancient myths. The first series ob bigger canvases shows mythical heroes whose legacy in present even today. The paintings reflect my underestanding of that legacy. The second series of smaller canvases depicts heroes and events that are part of bigger story.
