The influence of the tourist load on the forest environment on the spatial behavior of game

Abstract:

Vliv turistického zatížení bezesporu hraje velkou roli na prostorovém chování zvěře. Pro potvrzení této hypotézy byl realizován výzkum na dvou dvojicích ploch v okolí Brna, přičemž vždy jednou z dvojice ploch procházel singletrail. Výzkum proběhl ve dvou etapách v závislosti na turistické sezoně. Cílem terénního šetření byl sběr pobytových znaků srnce obecného (Capreolus capreolus L.) – loží a hrabů a dále buchtování prasete divokého (Sus scrofa L.), za účelem zjištění jejich denzity na zájmových územích. Literární přehled této práce se zabývá definováním singletrailu, popisem pobytových znaků zvěře, a to pernaté i srstnaté, dále také etologií zvěře srstnaté i pernaté. Blíže je rozebrána etologie zvěře srnčí a černé. Výsledky výzkumu byly zpracovány pomocí mapek, grafů a tabulek a dále byly vzájemně porovnávány. Z výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že turistické zatížení lesního prostředí není jediným faktorem, který ovlivňuje prostorové chování zvěře. Navzdory vyššímu turistickému zatížení na lokalitě Ochoz zde byla větší denzita pobytových znaků, zatímco na méně zatížené lokalitě Mariánské údolí byla denzita pobytových znaků nižší.

Abstract:

The influence of tourist load without a doubt plays a significant role in spatial behavior of game. To confirm this hypothesis, a research took place on two pairs of localities near Brno, whereas one of the localities was always intersected by a singletrack. The research was conducted in two seasons in relation to tourist season. The aim of the research was to collect signs of residence of roe deer (Capreolus capreolus L.) – beds and marking places, and rooting of wild boar (Sus scrofa L.) for the purpose of establishing their density in the locations of interest. Literary overview of this thesis deals with the definition of singletrack, desctription of signs of residency of game, both feathered and furry game, followed by ethology of feathered and furry game. In closer detail ethology of roe deer and wild boar is described. Results of the research were processed in form of maps, graphs, and tables. The results were also further compared. The results of this research imply, that tourist load of forest ecosystem is not the only factor that affects the spatial behavior of game. Despite the higher tourist load in location Ochoz, higher density of residential signs was there, while in location Mariánské údolí, were the tourist load is lower, the density of residential signs was lower.
