Process for Automated Threat Response to Phishing

Abstract:

Tato práce popisuje bezpečnostní týmy CSIRT a jejich základní služby. Podrobněji tuto problematiku prezentuje na konkrétním případě bezpečnostního týmu Masarykovy univerzity CSIRT-MU, důraz klade především na dosavadní úroveň automatizace v rámci zpracování incidentů a na dosavadní postup řešení phishingových incidentů. Následně práce navrhuje nový pozměněný proces pro zpracování phishingových incidentů. Práce popisuje jednotlivé části procesu, možnost jejich automatizace a použití externích systémů. V praktické části práce je popsána implementace jednoduchého prototypu, který demonstruje průchod navrženým procesem. Prototyp byl koncipován takovým způsobem, aby pro jeho použití nebylo nutné připravovat další externí služby.

Abstract:

Thesis describes CSIRT cybersecurity teams and their services. Thesis presents this area in more detail in the specific case of CSIRT-MU, which is the cybersecurity team of Masaryk University. Thesis emphasizes the current level of automation of incident response and the current incident response process for phishing. Subsequently, this work designs new incident response process for phishing. It describes all parts of the process with respect to the possibility of their automation and used external services. The practical part of this work describes the implementation of a simple prototype, which demonstrates the proposed process. The prototype was designed in such a way that it is independent on the presence of external services.
