Abstract:

The dissertation work is focused on the detailed study of advantages of the application of semi-boosted topologies in studying the process $pp\rightarrow Z'(y_{0})\rightarrow t\bar{t}$, $t_{1}\rightarrow W + b \rightarrow \nu + \ell +b$, $t_{2} \rightarrow W + b \rightarrow b+ q + \bar{q} $ with usage of hypothetical particles $Z'$ and $y_{0}$. The increase in the number of events by implementing of those topologies in analyses is evaluated to be between 20\%--50\%. The study of the signal strength of the hypothetical particle signal spectrum and influence of the unfolding method on the strength is also included in the work. The unfolding method weakens the signal strength by 20\%-30\%, with exception of the angular variables, where the decrease is not evident in such measure.

Abstract:

Disertační práce je zaměřena na podrobné studium přínosu aplikace semi-boostovaných topologií při studiu procesu $pp\rightarrow Z'(y_{0})\rightarrow t\bar{t}$, $t_{1}\rightarrow W + b \rightarrow \nu + \ell +b$, $t_{2} \rightarrow W + b \rightarrow b+ q + \bar{q} $ za pomocí hypotetických částic $Z'$ a $y_{0}$. Nárůst počtu události při začlenění těchto topologií do analýz je odhadnut mezi 20\%--50\%. V práci je zahrnuta studie síly signálního spektra hypotetické částice a vliv metody unfoldingu na sílu signálu. V obecné rovině lze tvrdit, že metoda unfoldingu oslabuje signál přibližně o 20\%-30\% s výjimkou úhlových proměnných, kde tento pokles není tolik patrný.
