OSINT methods within the Czech Republic and analysis of the disclosure of personal information

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na metody a nástroje zpravodajství z otevřených zdrojů (OSINT). V teoretické části je představena problematika OSINT, jeho metody a nástroje. V praktické části se aplikují zvolené metody na předem vybrané osoby. Hlavním cílem je zjistit, zda a jak jsou osobní informace vybraných osob zveřejňovány a zda existují v tomto ohledu rozdíly mezi různými demografickými skupinami. Dalším výstupem práce je analýza efektivity zvolených metod OSINT v podmínkách ČR a návrh opatření ke zmírnění rizika dohledání osobních informací pomocí těchto metod.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on methods and tools of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). In the theoretical part, the issues of OSINT, its methods, and tools are introduced. In the practical part, selected methods are applied to pre-selected individuals. The main goal is to determine whether and how the personal information of selected individuals is published and whether there are differences in this regard among various demographic groups. Another outcome of the work is the analysis of the effectiveness of chosen OSINT methods under the conditions of the Czech Republic and the proposal of measures to mitigate the risk of per-sonal information retrieval using these methods.
