Problems of education of children in substitute family care from the perspective of a curator for children and youth

Abstract:

Diplomová práce nesoucí název ?Problematika výchovy dětí v náhradní rodinné péči z pohledu kurátora pro děti a mládež? nahlíží na náhradní rodinnou péči z perspektivy kurátorů pro děti a mládež. Teoretická část přináší poznatky a informace o rodině, náhradní rodinné péči a o ústavní výchově. Dále poukazuje na specifické problémy v náhradní rodině, na úskalí náhradní rodinné péče, a připomíná také legislativní změny v oblasti náhradní péče. Pozornost je věnována rovněž výchově v rodině, poruchám chování dětí v období rané, střední a vlastní adolescence. Závěrečná část teoretické části se soustředí na profesní činnost zainteresovaných pracovníků v pomáhajících profesích, zejména sociálních pracovníků v oblasti náhradní rodinné péče a výchovných problémů. Výzkum byl proveden formou dotazníkového šetření, kdy zkoumaným souborem bylo 112 respondentů z řad kurátorů pro děti a mládež v České republice. Stanovené cíle byly zaměřeny na zjištění počtu dětí v náhradní rodinné péči a ústavních zařízeních, zkušeností kurátorů pro děti mládež s klienty s výchovnými problémy, zejména na zkušenosti s dětmi z náhradní rodinné péče. Stanovené cíle byly dále zaměřeny na zjištění názorů kurátorů pro děti a mládež na využívání opatření nařízení ústavní výchovy a zachování či zrušení ústavních zařízení. Závěr výzkumného šetření přináší pohledy náhradních rodičů na jejich zkušenosti s řešením výchovným problémů jim svěřených dětí.

Abstract:

The thesis entitled ?Issues of education of children in alternative family care from children and youth curator?s point of view? looks on alternative family care from the perspective of the curators for children and youth. The theoretical part provides knowledge and information about family, alternative family care and institutional care. It also points out specific problems in alternative family, the difficulties of alternative family care and also reminds the legislative changes in the field of alternative care. Attention is also paid to education in family, behavioural problems of children in their early, middle and own adolescence. The final part of the theoretical one focuses on the professional activities of involved workers in the helping professions, especially social workers in the field of alternative family care and educational problems. The research was conducted through the questionnaire survey which examined a set of 112 respondents from the ranks of curators for children and youth in the Czech Republic. The set objectives were focused on finding number of children in alternative family care and institutional facilities out, children and youth curators? experience with clients with behavioural problems, in particular the experience with children in alternative family care. The set objectives were also focused on finding out children and youth curators? opinions on using measures of order of institutional care and maintenance or dissolution of institutional facilities. The conclusion of the research provides alternative parents? views on their experience with the solution of educational problems of entrusted children.
