Abstract:

V této práci je analyzován a porovnán kazatelský styl Postily Petra Chelčického a Postily české Jana Rokycany. Kázání zaznamenaná v těchto souborech jsou charakterizována z hlediska práce s biblickým textem a dalšími zdroji, způsobu, jakým je kriticky hodnocena společnost včetně církve, a v neposlední řadě také z hlediska využití eschatologických prvků a antitezí. Výsledkem tohoto rozboru je zjištění, do jaké míry se liší přístup kazatelů k textu a k recipientům; jinými slovy, zda hraje v textech větší roli apelativní funkce a pragmatický dopad vyřčeného, nebo funkce sdělovací a přesnost vyjádření.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with an analysis and comparison of preaching styles of The Postil (Postila) by Peter Chelčický and The Czech Postilla (Postila česká) by John Rokycana. Sermons included in these collections are characterised according to the way their authors apply and cite the Bible and other sources, their manner of critical evaluation of the society including the Church and, last but not least, according to the use of eschatological aspects and antitheses. The resulting hypothesis states how much the relationship between the preacher and his recipients differs in these works; in other words, whether the appellative function and pragmatic force are preferred to the referential function and preciseness of expression, or vice versa.
