Problems of an ageing population in the labour market of the Czech Republic in the period 2020-2050, with a focus on supporting the employment of older people aged 50 and over

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce diskutuje problémy a důsledky aktuální situace stárnutí obyvatel na pracovním trhu. Dále pak navrhuje a analyzuje nástroje pro stimulaci zaměstnanosti starších osob nad 50 let v souvislosti s aktuální situací. V teoretické části charakterizuje pojmy doprovázející studovanou problematiku, demografickou strukturu obyvatel a její prognózu do budoucna s následnými dopady na systém České republiky, která potvrzuje rostoucí význam tohoto tématu. V praktické části práce již navrhuje a analyzuje konkrétní nástroje, které by mohly podpořit právě zaměstnanost starší skupiny lidí, neboť zapojení této skupiny na trh práce je vzhledem k situaci prakticky klíčové pro udržení stávajícího systému. Řešení stárnutí obyvatel a nezaměstnanost starších osob si žádá svá řešení a práce z analýzy navrhuje určitá opatření, zejména v rámci aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti, aplikaci principu age management, částečnou důchodovou reformu, popřípadě daňově-dávkové nástroje pro stimulaci nabídkové, ale i poptávkové strany na pracovním trhu starších osob pro stabilizaci stávajícího systému a problematiku České republiky.

Abstract:

The bachelor´s thesis discusses the problems and consequences of the current situation of the ageing population in the labour market. Furthermore, it suggests and analyses tools for stimulating the employment of older people over 50 in connection with the current situation. In the theoretical part, it characterises the terms accompanying the studied issue, the demographic structure of the population and its forecast for the future with subsequent impacts on the system of the Czech Republic, which confirms the growing importance of this topic. In the practical part, the work suggests and analyses specific tools that could support the employment of the older group of people because the involvement of this group is practically the key to maintaining the current system. The solution to the ageing population and the unemployment of older people requires solutions, and this thesis offers specific measures from the analysis. Especially within the framework of an active employment policy, the application of the principles of age management, a partial pension reform, or tax-benefit instruments to stimulate the supply as well as the demand of the workforce market of older people over 50 years of age to stabilise the current system and problems of the Czech Republic.
