Perception of pozitives and barriers in approaches of workers to drug users in Drop-in centres

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá percepcí pozitiv a bariér v přístupech pracovníků k uživatelům drog v kontaktních centrech. Hlavním cílem kontaktních center je zlepšení kvality života uživatelů nealkoholových drog po stránce psychické, fyzické a sociální. Výzkum, založený na kvalitativní strategii, byl realizován formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pracovníky a klienty ve třech kontaktních centrech. Po provedení analýzy rozhovorů byly výsledky výzkumu interpretovány pomocí zakotvené teorie. Výsledkem práce je zjištění, že pracovníci a klienti shodně považují za nejvhodnější nedirektivní přístup a dále se shodují na požadavku flexibility služeb. Jako překážky byly identifikovány obavy klientů při využívání služeb, nespokojenost klientů a lhostejnost pracovníků. V závěru práce autorka odpovídá na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a následně uvádí doporučení pro další výzkum a praxi.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the perception of positives and barriers in approaches of workers to drug users in Drop-in centres. The main aim of Drop-in centres is to improve the quality of life of non-alcoholic drug users at their mental, physical and social level. The research based on the qualitative strategy was conducted by semi-structured interviews with workers and clients in three Drop-in centres. After analyzing the interview the research results were interpreted using grounded theory. The outcome of the thesis is finding that workers and clients agree on the non-directive approach as the best one. They also agree on the requirement of flexibility services. Concerns of clients in use of services, client dissatisfaction and indifference workers were identified as the barriers. In the end, the author answers the main research question and then makes recommendations for future research and practice.
