V práci si všímáme způsobu, jakým Klement Alexandrijský zkracuje citáty ve svém díle, tomuto problému dosud v odborné literatuře nebyla věnována dostatečná pozornost. Popíšeme způsob uvozování citací, míry doslovnosti (nakolik ji lze posoudit) při citování různých zdrojů. Abstract:
In this paper, we examine how Clement of Alexandria shortens quotations in his work. This issue has not yet received sufficient attention in specialist literature. We describe how quotations are introduced, and assess the degree of literalness in quotations from various sources. We also compare the use of quotations in Clement of Alexandria's work to its use by other contemporary authors.
