Abstract:

V diplomové práci poskytuji analýzu klíčového díla litevského spisovatele Kristijonase Donelaitise, poémy Metai. Cílem této analýzy je určit, zda se jedná o koherentní a propracované dílo. To se v práci snažím dokázat nalezením a popsáním jedné konkrétní izotopie, kterou jsme označili litevským slovem „vargas“ (utrpení, trápení, těžký život). Nalezení této izotopie slibuje lepší porozumění textu a logiky návaznosti jednotlivých příběhů. V práci se rozebírají jednotlivá místa výskytu motivů, které nesou rysy „vargas“ a určuje se relevantnost předpokladu existence hledané izotopie.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide an analysis of one of the Lithuanian key works – The Seasons by Kristijonas Donelaitis. This analysis should prove whether the poem is a coherent and sophisticated work by finding and describing one particular isotopy which is termed as „vargas“ (suffering, misery, hard life). Finding the isotopy promises a better understanding of the text, its logic and continuity of the individual stories. The thesis then examines each location of motifs which feature „vargas“ and determine the relevance of the assumption of the existence of such isotopy.
