Abstract:

Diplomová práce Zvířata ve starém Izraeli pojednává o vztahu mezi Izraelity a zvířaty ve starém Izraeli. Hlavní část práce se zabývá tímto vztahem při utváření antického izraelského prostředí od vzniku proto-izraelských kmenů přes vznik raných státních formací v Benjaminské vrchovině až po vliv helénismu. V této práci bere v úvahu historické a kulturní vlivy Egypta, starověké babylonské říše a později Asýrie, jakož i vliv starých palestinských městských států, jako jsou Megiddo nebo Byblos. Helenistické období představuje významný mezník v historii Židů, během kterého se zrodila vlna intelektualismu. V této době se pohled Izraelců na zvířata začal zásadně měnit a stal se více antropocentrickým. Primárním zdrojem je hebrejská Bible, která shrnuje běžnou myšlenku izraelského národa. V Bibli se seznamujeme s lidským přístupem ke zvířatům v oblasti náboženské praxe a obchodu. Přístup ke zvířatům se řídil Božími zavedenými zákony, etikou. Rozdělení zvířat na čisté a nečisté, spotřeba zvířat a jejich přínosy pro lidské potřeby byly jistě důležité. Cílem této práce je poukázat na jedinečnost izraelského národa ve vztahu mezi člověkem a zvířetem. Židovská jedinečnost byla založena na přísném definování se proti modlářství jiných národů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis entitled Animals in Ancient Israel deals presents relationship between Israelites and animals in ancient Israel. The main part of thesis deals with this relationship during the formation of the ancient Israeli environment from the emergence of proto-Israelite tribes through the emergence of early state formations in the Benjamin Highlands to the influence of the Hellenism. In this thesis it takes into account the historical and cultural influences of Egypt, the ancient Babylonian Empire and later Assyria, as well as the influence of ancient Palestinian city-states, such as Megiddo or Byblos. The Hellenistic period represents a major milestone in the history of the Jewish, during which a wave of intellectualism was born. At this time, the Israelites' view of animals began to change fundamentally and became more anthropocentric. The primary source is the Hebrew Bible, which summarizes the common idea of the nation of Israel. In the Bible we become acquainted with man's approach to animals in the field of religious practice and trade. Access to animals was governed by God's established laws, ethics. The division of animals into clean and unclean, the consumption of animals and their benefits for human needs were certainly important. The aim of this thesis consists in pointing out the uniqueness of the nation of Israel in the relationship between man and animal. Jewish uniqueness was based on a strict define ourselves against the idolatry of other nations.
