Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Tourism

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is dealing with the issue of the small and medium-sized enterprises in tourism. The theoretical part is based on the literature in the topic and talks about the importance of the small and medium-sized tourism enterprises (SMTE). It is also specifying the barriers in the further development of the enterprises, as well as the possibilities of the public support to these tourism enterprises. The aim of the research in this thesis is to identify the barriers of the SMTE and to identify the needs of the SMTEs in terms of public support. The research reveals the forms of the support which have been exploited by the entrepreneurs already and which forms of the support they would be interested in. The research was done by the technique of questionnaire survey combined with personal interviews with the entrepreneurs in tourism.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou malých a stredných podnikov cestovného ruchu. Teoretická časť sa opiera o odbornú literatúru, na základe ktorej prezentuje význam malých a stredných podnikov cestovného ruchu. Sústreďuje sa aj na bariéry v podnikaní a rozvoji a na možnosti podpory podnikania v cestovnom ruchu z verejného sektora. Výskum práce je zameraný na identifikáciu bariér rozvoja podnikov cestovného ruchu v praxi, rovnako ako aj na identifikáciu potrieb podpory podnikov verejným sektorom. Výskum zisťuje aké formy podpory podnikatelia využili v minulosti a o využitie akých foriem podpory by mali záujem. Na realizáciu výskumu autorka použila techniku dotazníkového šetrenia v kombinácií s osobnými rozhovormi s podnikateľmi v cestovnom ruchu.
