Employee work-life balance analysis in SCG Czech Design Center, s.r.o.

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské přáce je problematika work-life balance, tedy rovnováhy mezi pracovním a osobním životem. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit, jaký význam tato problematika má pro zaměstnance, zaměstnavatele a celkové fungování firem. V teoretické části je nejprve vysvětlena samotná problematika work-life balance a její historický vývoj. Dále jsou zde prezentovány nástroje, které zaměstnavatelé a zaměstnanci mohou využít k dosažení vyváženého pracovního a osobního života. V závěru teoretické části je popsán vývoj využívání práce z domova během pandemie covid-19. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na zjištění současného stavu problematiky work-life balance ve firmě SCG Czech Design Center, s.r.o. Zkoumá, zda jsou v praxi uplatňovány nástroje, které byly představeny v teoretické části, a zda zkoumaný vzorek zaměstnanců považuje tuto problematiku za důležitou. Na základě provedeného šetření jsou navržena doporučení, která by firma mohla v budoucnu využít.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the issue of work-life balance, i.e. the balance between work and personal life. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate the importance of this issue for employees, employers and the overall functioning of companies. The theoretical part is focused on explaining the issue of work-life balance and its historical development. There are also listed tools that employers and employees can use to achieve a balanced work and personal life. At the end of the theoretical part, the development of home office during the covid-19 pandemic is described. The practical part focuses on targeting the current state of the work-life balance issue in SCG Czech Design Center, s.r.o. It examines whether the tools that were presented in the theoretical part are applied in practice, and whether the examined sample of employees considers this issue as important. Based on the investigation, recommendations are proposed that the company could use in the future.
