The use of the basal stimulation in special education diagnosis in children with mental impairment

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Využití prvků bazální stimulace ve speciálně pedagogické diagnostice u žáků s mentálním postižením“ se zaměřuje na využívání prvků bazální stimulace ve speciálně pedagogické diagnostice u žáků s mentálním postižením. Tato diplomová práce shromažďuje informace o mentálním postižení, bazální stimulaci a speciálně pedagogické diagnostice. Cílem teoretické části je popis mentálního postižení (lehká, středně těžká, těžká a hluboká mentální retardace), bazální stimulace (historie, oblasti podpory, teoretické východiska) a speciálně pedagogická diagnostika. V praktické části je nastíněna současná situace v praxi. V empirické části je prezentován kvalitativní výzkum se šesti informanty, s nimiž byly rozhovory vedeny. Tyto rozhovory byly analyzovány metodou otevřeného kódování, selektivního kódování a axiálního kódování. Výsledky výzkumu poukazují na možné využití bazální stimulace. Výsledky výzkumu jsou prezentovány v závěru diplomové práce.

Abstract:

The thesis “The use of the basal stimulation in special needs education diagnosis in children with mental impairment” is focused on using the basal stimulation in special needs diagnosis in children with mental impairment. It gathers information about mental impairment, basal stimulation and special needs diagnosis. The aim of the theoretical part is a description of mental impairment (mild, moderate, severe and profound degree of mental retardation), basal stimulation (history, areas of support, theoretical information) and educational diagnosis. In the practical part, the current situation is portrayed. There was presented the qualitative research with six informants with whom interviews were conducted. These interviews were analyzed by the principle of open coding, selective coding and axial coding. The research results point to the possible use of the basal stimulation. The results were presented in the end of the thesis.
