Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá skrytým kurikulem a jeho vlivem na výuku anglického jazyka. Teoretická část práce se zabývá definicí pojmu skryté kurikulum. Jakým způsobem návyky, hodnoty, postoje a sociální interakce ovlivňují edukační proces. Pozornost je zaměřena zejména na upevnění sociální komunity ve třídě. Práce se také zabývá otázkou fungujícího třídního managementu, který je jedním z předpokladů pro úspěšné dosahování vzdělávacích cílů. Praktická část této práce se zabývá sociálním a citovým rozvojem dětí, jejich komunikací a interakcí s učiteli a dalšími žáky, jakým způsobem jsou děti motivovány, jak se učí dodržovat pravidla, jak jsou oceňovány a trestány v hodinách anglického jazyka. Pro výzkum byly vhodně zvoleny dvě metody – interview s učiteli a pozorování v různých anglických třídách. Cílem je analyzovat data z teoretické části práce, interview a pozorování, zda se navzájem doplňují, nebo si odporují. Bylo potvrzeno, že sociální interakce, vztahy ve třídě, třídní klima a management mají velký dopad na edukační proces. Je potřebné zachovat fungující vztahy ve třídě, dosáhnout pozitivního třídního klimatu a efektivního třídního managementu, aby mohly být splněny požadované edukační cíle.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the hidden curriculum and its impact on English language teaching. The theoretical part focuses on defining the hidden curriculum and how habits, values, attitudes and social interactions affect educational process. The attention is devoted to the importance of building social community in the classroom. The thesis also deals with the issue of effective classroom management which is one of the basis for achieving educational goals. The practical part of the thesis deals with the social and emotional development of children, their communication and interaction with teachers and other pupils, the way they are motivated for learning, how they learn the value of obeying rules and the methods for using reward and punishment in English language classes. Two methods for research were chosen – interviews with English teachers and observations that were done in different English classes. The aim is to analyse the data from the theoretical part, interviews and observations in order to see whether they complement or rather contradict each other. It was observed that social interactions, relationships in the classroom and classroom climate and management have a huge impact on the teaching and learning process.
