The influence of personality of the mother on the great philosophers and pedagogics in the comparation with their life

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na významné filozofy a pedagogy, kteří ovlivnili svými názory celou společnost, a z jejichž učení čerpáme dodnes. Hlavním tématem mé práce je hledání odpovědi na otázku: ,,Zda a jakým způsobem ovlivnila myšlení jednotlivých představitelů jejich matka?? Pro dané téma jsem si vybral osm představitelů různých filozofických a pedagogických směrů. Jedná se o Sókrata, sv. Augustina, Tomáše Akvinského, Jana Amose Komenského, Jean-Jacquesa Rousseaua, Arthura Schopenhauera, Friedricha Nietzscheho a Gabriela Marcela. Každá z výše uvedených osobností žila v jiné době, proto jsem se rozhodl práci rozdělit na jednotlivé kapitoly, které jsou věnovány konkrétním představitelům ? době jejich narození, filozofickému směru a názorům, jež zastávali a způsobu jejich života. Konec každé kapitoly se věnuje matkám daných filosofů nebo pedagogů, se zaměřením na výchovu a možnost ovlivnění svých potomků v dalších etapách jejich života. Závěr práce se zabývá komparací filozofických idejí jednotlivých představitelů s životním stylem, jejž vedli. Zároveň si klade za cíl zjistit míru vlivu osobnosti matek na jejich učení.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on important philosophers and teachers who influenced the entire society and whose teachings we still use nowadays. The main topic of my thesis is looking for an answer to the question "If, and how, was the philosophy of these representatives influenced by their mothers?" For this topic I chose eight representatives of different philosophical and pedagogical styles: Socrates, Saint Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, John Amos Comenius, Jean-Jacque Rousseau, Arthur Schopenhauer, Friedrich Nietzsche and Gabriel Marcel. All of the above personalities lived in a different era. Therefore, I have decided to split the thesis into individual chapters which are dedicated to concrete representatives, their era, philosophical style and ideas they held during their life. The end of each chapter is dedicated to mothers of these individuals with a focus on how each mother's parenting influenced their child in the rest of their life. The conclusion compares the ideas of these philosophers to the lifestyle they led. It also focuses on the extent of their mothers' influence on their thoughts.
