Abstract:
This thesis is focused on the issue of large infrastructure projects in the developing countries, namely the Chinese-Lao railway corridor Boten-Vientiane. The first part describes and defines infrastructure projects. It anchors the theoretical framework to historical examples of the Panama and Suez Canals, where it comes with a risk system.
