The translation of a science fiction from German into Czech as a challenge for the translators.

This bachelor thesis deals with commented translation of a novel "QualityLand" written by german author Marc-Uwe Kling. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá komentovaným překladem románu "QualityLand" od německého umělce Marca-Uwe Klinga. V teoretické části byla nastíněna jeho biografie a umělecká tvorba, dále byl román krátce charakterizován a byly uvedeny tradiční překladatelské postupy, které se staly stěžejními při tvorbě samotného překladu.
