A computational pipeline for integrative annotation of repetitive sequences in eukaryotic genomes

A computational pipeline for integrative annotation of repetitive sequences in eukaryotic genomes
Abstract:
V dnešnej dobe, s narastajúcou výpočtovou silou, je funkčný a evolučný význam repetitívnych sekvencií - transpozónov, čoraz viac jasnejší. Teórie označujúce transpozóny ako "junk" DNA boli vyvrátené a transpozóny sa stali predmetom ďalšieho výskumu. Existuje veľa transpozónových anotátorov, ktoré poskytujú klasifikačné dáta jednotlivým transpozónom. Cieľom tejto práce je vytvoriť systém zameraný na …more
Abstract:
Nowadays, with more computational power at hand, the functional and evolutionary significance of repetitive sequences within the genome — transposons — has become increasingly clear. Theories denoting transposons as junk DNA have been disproved and transposons have become the subject of further research. There are numerous transposon annotators which provide their classification data. The aim of this …more
