The meaning of employment in the lives of homeless people

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje významu zaměstnání v životě lidí bez domova. Je rozdělena na dvě části, a to teoretickou a metodologickou. Teoretická část pojednává obecně o bezdomovectví, příčinách vzniku bezdomovectví a životním stylu lidí bez domova. Zahrnuje i kapitoly věnující se významu práce pro jedince, možnostem lidí bez domova participovat na trhu práce a postojům. Metodologická část práce se skládá ze dvou na sebe navazujících oddílů. Prvním z nich je metodologie, ve které vysvětluji, jakou metodu výzkumu a sběru dat jsem si zvolila. Cílem výzkumu je nalézt odpovědi na otázku Jaký význam má zaměstnání v životě lidí bez domova užívajících sociální služby na území Brna? Druhým oddílem je samotný výzkum a interpretace jeho výsledků. Kompletní výsledky mého výzkumu jsou shrnuty v závěru práce.

Abstract:

My thesis focuses on the importance of employment in the lives of homeless people. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the methodological part. The theoretical part discusses homelessness, the causes of homelessness and homeless people lifestyle. It also includes the chapters dealing with the meaning of employment, possibilities for homeless people to participate in the labour market and with the attitudes. The methodological part consists of two concurring sections. Methodology is the first one. I am explaining what research method and data collection method are used there. In the second part I analyse results of my research. The aim of my research is to find out answers on my research question What is the meaning of employment in the lives of homeless people using the social services in Brno territory? The research and interpretation of results are the second section of the practical part. The complete results of my research are summarized at the conclusion of this thesis.
