Strain and support of the newly - qualified male teachers in the upper primary school and the lower grammar school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkušenosti začínajících učitelů-mužů v jejich prvních letech učitelské profese na 2. stupni základní školy a nižším stupni gymnázia. Největší pozornost je věnována zátěži, zvládání zátěže a podpoře začínajících učitelů. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy související s výzkumem a jsou zasazeny do kontextu problematiky začínajících učitelů v současném školství. Empirická část práce se zaměřuje na samotnou zkušenost respondentů s profesními začátky v učitelství se zvláštním zřetelem na vnímanou zátěž a zdroje podpory. Zvolenou výzkumnou metodou je interpretativní fenomenologická analýza. Cílem výzkumu je porozumět zkušenostem začínajících učitelů na 2. stupni základní školy a nižším stupni gymnázia z pohledu mužů, kteří jsou minoritní skupinou ve školství, a přispět k hlubšímu poznání této problematiky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis aims at experience of the newly-qualified male teachers in the upper primary school and the lower grammar school during the first years of their teaching profession. The main focus is given on a strain, coping strategies and a support of the newly-qualified teachers. The basic terms related to the research are defined in a theoretical part and are set in the context of the issue of the newly qualified teachers in the contemporary Czech education. An empirical part deals with an experience of respondents as the newly qualified teachers and it especially aims at the perceived strain and the sources of support. An interpretative phenomenological analysis is the chosen method of the research. The aim of the research is to contribute to the deeper understanding of the issue and understanding to experience of the newly-qualified male teachers in the upper primary school and the lower grammar school, who are a minority group in the education.
