Company expansion to foreign market

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této práce je expanze společnosti XY na ukrajinský trh. Produkt, se kterým chce společnost expandovat, je „Zpracování prodejních dat“ pro farmaceutické společnosti. Výstupem tohoto zpracování jsou v našem případě data, v tabulkovém formátu od jednotlivých distributorů, upravená do podoby, se kterou mohou naši zákazníci pracovat, rozhodovat na základě těchto výstupu o své další strategii a hodnotit práci jednotlivých reprezentantů, kteří se z velké části podílejí na promování produktů společnosti. Tato diplomová práce bude v souladu s metodikou rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se budu věnovat formám a motivům vstupu na cizí trhy, rizikům s tím spojených a v neposlední řadě bude prozkoumán potenciál trhu na Ukrajině. V praktické části bude uvedený popis firmy a popis konkrétního produktu, se kterým by společnost chtěla vstoupit na zahraniční trh. Je důležité také popsat tržní a konkurenční prostředí na Ukrajině a rozhodnout se pro formu expanze. K hlavním kritériím, na základě kterých se bude společnost rozhodovat, zda na tento trh vstupovat či nikoliv bude analýza makrookolí i mikrookolí podniku. Cílem této práce je tedy na základě provedeného šetření a analýz zjistit, zda je ukrajinský trh vhodným teritoriem pro expanzi v uvedeném oboru či nikoli. Součástí výstupu závěrečné práce je podklad pro rozhodování a doporučení pro vedení firmy, zda expanzi realizovat, případně za jakých podmínek.

Abstract:

The main theme of this work is the expansion of the company XY to the Ukrainian market. The product with which the company wants to expand is the Processing of sales data for pharmaceutical companies. The output of this process, in our case, are data in spreadsheet format from each distributor, converted into a form which our customers can work with. Based on this data they can make strategic decisions and also evaluate the work of individual representatives, who are largely involved in the promotion of their company’s products, too. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I will deal with forms and motives of entry into foreign markets, the risks associated with it, and last but not least the potential of Ukrainian pharmaceutical market. The practical part introduces the company and also brings the description of a specific product which the company would like to enter with to the foreign market. It is also important to describe the market and competitive environment in Ukraine and decide on a specific form of expansion. The main criteria under which the company will decide whether to enter the market or not will be the analysis of the macro and micro environment in which the company operates. The aim of this work is to determine whether the Ukrainian market is a suitable territory for expansion in that field or not - depending on the investigations and analyzes. A part of the thesis is the basis for making decisions and recommendations for the management of the company, whether the expansion is possible and if so, under what conditions.
