The needs of healthcare workers in intensive care in ophthalmology with regard to business communications

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku obchodní komunikace ve zdravotnictví, se zvláštním zaměřením na obor oftalmologie. Práce je rozdělena do dvou velkých celků (teoretické a výzkumné části). Teoretická část se věnuje tématu potřeb, obchodní komunikace, přičemž je značná část práce věnována operaci šedého zákalu – kataraktě (příznaky, vyšetření, operace a komplikace). Výzkumná část je založena na kvantitativním, dotazníkovém průzkumu. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit proces obchodní komunikace v oblasti péče o pacienty podstupující operaci oka (operaci katarakty), zjistit faktory, které požadavky na obchodní komunikaci ovlivňují (např. deklarovaný výskyt komplikací při operacích katarakty, preferovaný způsob komunikace) u poskytovatelů zdravotních služeb. Z výsledků analýzy dat vyplývá, že zájem o konzultace s obchodním zástupce, distributora zdravotnických prostředků deklarují častěji respondenti soukromých klinik, než lůžkových zařízení neprivátních zřizovatelů.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the issue of business communication in health care, focused with special focus on the field of ophthalmology. The thesis is divided in two large units (theoretical and research parts). The theoretical part deals with the topic of need, business communication and a large part of the work deals with cataract surgery - cataracts (symptoms, examination, surgery and complications). The research part is based on a quantitative, questionnaire survey. The aim of the work was to evaluate the process of business communication in the area of care for patients undergoing eye surgery (cataract surgery), to identify factors that influence the requirements for business communication (e.g. the declared incidence of complications in cataract surgery, the preferred way of communication) in health service providers. Based on data analyses from the survey we have identified that the interest in business communication is higher among private health services providers.
