The principles of poetism in Laco Novomesky's works Nedel'a and Romboid

Abstract:

Práce hledá principy poetizmu v básnických sbírkách Laca Novomeského Nedeľa a Romboid. V první kapitole jsou představeny charakteristické znaky poetistické poetiky. V následujících kapitolách metodou textové analýzy nacházíme tyto prvky v konkrétních Novomeského básních a srovnáváme je s texty předních poetistů. Snažíme se také vypozorovat Novomeského uchopení poetizmu, tedy jak ve své rané tvorbě tvořivě zúročil Teigeho teorii (např. dualizmus konstruktivizmu a poetizmu). Cílem práce je dokázat, že Novomeský patří do poetistického kontextu.

Abstract:

The thesis looks for the principles of poetism in Laco Novomesky’s works Nedeľa and Romboid. In the first chapter the characteristics of poetism are introduced. In the rest of the chapters we find these features in Novomesky’s poetry by the method of text analysis, and compare them with the works of renown poetists. We also try to grasp Novomesky’s approach to poetism, i.e. how he used Teige’s theory (for example the dualism of contructivism and poetism) in his early work. The purpose of this thesis is to prove that Novomesky should be counted among the poetists.
