Using of GIS for landscape structure development of the Prysk municipality

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem vývoje a změny struktury krajiny v letech 1843 až 2011 v bývalých Sudetech, na katastru obce Prysk. Tato obec byla v minulosti ovlivněna celou řadou změn protínající historické události (vědeckotechnická revoluce, světové války, rozmach a pád komunistické éry a vstup do EU), ale také specifickými hybnými silami jako snížením hustoty zalidnění a výměnou obyvatelstva po odsunu sudetských Němců. Tím, jak se zdejší krajina měnila a přetvářela, mizel postupem času i původní duch místa, založený na kulturní činnosti mnoha generací našich předků. Na základě překryvu historických kartografických podkladů se současným stavem v prostředí geografického informačního systému GIS, byla vytipována dílčí území v katastru, kde docházelo k nejmarkantnějším změnám. Tato území byla následně porovnána. Součástí práce je také vytvoření digitálního archivu s dalšími historickými podklady a s výsledky jak textových, tabelárních tak obrazových dat. Výsledky této práce potvrzují obecné trendy ve vývoji české kulturní krajiny, ale také ve změnách, které probíhaly v oblasti bývalých Sudet. Výsledky jsou tak použitelné pro srovnání s jinými místy v ČR, pro potencionální další studium historických změn zdejší krajiny a historie obce, a jako rozšíření pro aktuální územní plán a podklad pro udržitelný rozvoj obce Prysk.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with development and changes of landscape structure between years 1843 and 2011 in former Sudetenland, in the area of the village Prysk cadaster. This village has been influenced by a number of changes intersecting historical events (the scientific and technical revolution, world wars, arrival and fall of the communist era and the accession to the EU), but also by specific drivers as population density reduction and population exchange after the expulsion of the Sudeten Germans. As the local landscape has changed and transformed even the genius loci based on cultural activities of many ancestors´ generations has passed in the course of time. Based on historical cartographic materials overlapping with the current state in a geographic information system sub-areas in the landscape were identified there where the changes were the most noticeable. These sub-areas were then compared. A part of the work is also a summary of other historical documents with the results of text, tabular and image data. The results of this study confirm general trends of the Czech cultural landscape, but also in the changes that took place in the former Sudetenland. The results are thus applicable for comparison with other places in the Czech Republic, potentially for further study of historical changes in the landscape and history of the village and as an extension to the current local zoning plan and a basis for community Prysk sustainable development.
