Modern Technology in Accommodation Facilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma Moderní technologie v ubytovacích zařízeních je zaměřena na moderní technologie využívané v hotelnictví. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. První část je teoretická část, která se zabývá v první řadě ubytovacím zařízením, jejich kategorizací a klasifikací a pojmem hotel. Dále se zaměřuje na jednotlivé průmyslové revoluce a na koncept Průmysl 4.0. Na závěr se věnuje obecně moderním technologiím, které jsou využívané v hotelnictví a jejich trendem. Analytická část nejprve popisuje jednotlivé generace a moderní technologie využívané v hotelnictví. V další části jsou představeny vybrané hotely, které využívají přímo nebo podobné moderní technologie ve svém hotelovém provozu. Následně jsou řízeny rozhovory s dvěma hotely, kde je cílem zjistit, zda moderní technologie využívané v hotelnictví využívají. Stěžejní a poslední částí analytické části je dotazníkové šetření, které se zaměřuje na stanovený cíl práce, a to zjistit postoj potencionálních klientů hotelového zařízení k moderním technologiím využívané v hotelnictví. V návrhové části jsou uvedeny návrhy a doporučení na základě získaných informací z dotazníkového šetření a ze řízených rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis has the topic Modern Technology in Accommodation Facilities is focused on modern technologies used in the hospitality. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is the theoretical part that deals primarily with accommodation facilities, their categorization and classification and the concept of a hotel. It also focuses on individual industrial revolutions and the concept of Industry 4.0. Finally, it deals with modern technologies that are used in the hotel industry and their trends. The analytical part first describes the individual age generations and modern technologies used in the hotel industry. The next part presents selected hotels that use directly or similar modern technologies in their hotel operations. Following this, structural interviews were conducted with two selected hotels, with the aim of finding out whether they really use modern technologies used in the hotel industry. The key and last part of the analytical part is a questionnaire survey, which focuses on the set goal of the work namely, to find out the attitude of potential clients of the hotel facilities towards modern technologies. The proposal part presents suggestions and recommendations based on the information obtained from the questionnaire survey and from controlled interviews.
